Job Description
Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) will support plasma center operations under the guidance of the Center Manager, Assistant Manager, or Center Physician. Responsibilities include determining donor eligibility for plasma donation, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and notifying donors of unsuitable test results. The Specialist must be familiar with plasma collection regulations and provide center‑level support for environmental, health, and safety (EHS).
Howyou will contribute
- Determine donor eligibility, including proper management of informed consent, AIDS education, self‑exclusion, medical history interview, and acceptance requirements.
- Perform physical examination, blood testing, and review serologic protein electrophoresis (SPE) results.
- Evaluate donor reactions as outlined in SOPs and follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies, including developing Center Physician standing orders and coordinating donor transport to emergency care facilities.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for findings requiring medical or technical guidance, including donor safety and eligibility.
- Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
- Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER, referring to EHS guidance.
- Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats within the local community.
- High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate‑level nursing program with state requirements.
- Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned (LPN or LVN).
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Successfully complete FDA‑approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

Salary and LocationLocation:
USA – WA – Tukwila. Hourly wage range: $32.00 – $44.00 (reflects anticipated range for this position). Actual hourly wage offered may vary based on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location. Employees may be eligible for short‑term incentives and performance‑based bonuses.
