Arcosa Wind Towers is seeking a "Surface Prep Operator"/
Blasters
. In this role you will operate hand tools and equipment to prepare interior and exterior surfaces for coating operations. This position also operates automated blast system and handheld grit ballast equipment to remove scale, corrosion, paint, and dirt.

Hours:

• Monday - Friday 6am - 4:30pm, with occasional mandatory overtime (schedule/overtime subject to change based on business needs).

• Purge surfaces of all chemicals and contaminants through simple processes
• Remove scale, corrosion, paint, and dirt
• Follow all safety rules and practices
• Proficiently operate automated blast system
• Proficiently operate handheld grit blast system
• May metalize surfaces
• May be involved in committees or initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned

• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting
• Basic knowledge of hand tools or ability to learn within 6 months
• Knowledge of handheld grit blast system or ability to learn within 6 months
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Ability to work as a team, demonstrate high ethical standards, treat all coworkers with dignity and respect, and support a positive working culture

• Safety sensitive position
• Full-time hourly position, requiring availability for multiple shifts
• Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds operating multiple shifts and frequent weekend shifts
• Position frequently requires work/maintenance coverage beyond normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
• Ability to tolerate high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant

• Be aware of and observe all safety practices, including safety glasses, safety boots, hearing protection, etc. as required
