Containerized Waste Processing Technician - Forklift​/Laborer​/Hazmat​/Warehouse

Position Summary

The Processing Technician ensures safe, effective treatment and handling of containerized wastes by properly receiving, screening, unloading, treating and tracking incoming waste streams and outgoing residuals.

• Review, sign, and process incoming manifests, noting any discrepancies.
• Direct off‑loading operations for receipt of primarily non‑bulk containers into the facility’s storage systems for process and handling.
• Use handheld bar‑code scanner as the primary internal record‑keeping system to ensure the safe, effective handling and inventory of containerized wastes.
• Operate forklift to facilitate the handling of all non‑bulk containerized wastes.
• Collect and analyze waste samples.
• Consolidate like‑wastes whenever possible to improve economic outcomes.
• Store waste containers properly in all designated plant storage areas.
• Assist in the generation of internal bar‑code labels and accurately place them on all containers as they are received.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Ability to use light equipment, such as forklift and pallet‑jack.
• Basic knowledge of computer operations, including handheld scanners.
• Skilled using hand and shop tools.
• Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
• Must be able to prioritize, stay focused, and handle multiple, diverse responsibilities.
