Systech Process Operators are trained in a process area to unload hazardous (i.e., flammable) and/or non-hazardous materials; and processing or blending the material for reuse as a fuel.
Responsibilities- Unloads and processes material following established procedures. Proficient in use of forklift or other mobile equipment.
- Responsible for following Systech policies and permits for proper handling of waste.
- Performs routine maintenance on designated equipment upon request.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
- Operates heavy equipment such as bobcat, track mobile (move and position railcars), stinger and remote controlled agitation crane.
- Inspects and reconditions customer portable Fuel Quality Waste tanks.
- Wears all levels of PPE as required.
- Acts in a safety‑conscious manner and promotes safety with other site employees.
- Assists in other work areas of the facility when necessary to meet site emergencies or production priorities.
- Works scheduled or non‑scheduled overtime as necessary to meet production priorities or emergencies.
- Completes required regulatory, governmental and safety training such as Systech Safety Procedures, RCRA, MSHA, and participates in approved workshops to develop skills.
- Demonstrates commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies.
- Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent. - Work Environment:
Requires working outside and in process buildings; exposure to heat, cold, dust and noise. - Driving Requirements:
Valid driver’s license to operate equipment that requires it.
- Protective gear:
Ability to wear hard hat, safety glasses or goggles, Tyvek suit, steel‑toed shoes, gloves, supplied air and respiratory equipment. - Physical abilities:
Climbing, lifting, bending; must pass annual health physical. - Adherence to safety protocols and use of approved PPE, including respirators.
