Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Site Administrator and Manager of School Nursing, the traveling nurse supports students and the school community with health needs such as medication administration, first aid, immunization compliance, and workers compensation documentation. The role also requires computer use for email, document submission, reporting, and online supply orders.
Education- Associate’s degree in nursing; must complete a bachelor’s degree within ten (10) years from the initial issuance of an Oklahoma teaching certificate.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Licensed Registered Nurse.
- Oklahoma School Nurse Certification.
- Valid certification in First Aid/CPR/AED.
- Two (2) years of school nurse experience is a plus.
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
