Overview

The Choice is managing an immediate opportunity to support a prominent, bestselling author and leading voice on psychology, happiness, and purpose. A personal interest in these topics would be a great fit as you will be supporting meaningful work that reaches a wide audience.

Position Type: Temporary-to-Hire

Start Date: ASAP

Schedule: Typically Monday-Thursday in the office with Fridays remote. The office is located in Tysons Corner, VA. Core business hours are generally 9 - 5:30. Flexibility is essential. Because the role supports a highly active public figure with frequent travel and speaking engagements, early morning, evening, or weekend responsiveness will be required to assist with travel disruptions, schedule changes, or urgent needs.

This position is best suited for someone who does not require a strict 9-to-5 schedule.

As the Executive Support and Operations Associate, you will keep the author’s work running smoothly by managing a busy schedule, coordinating travel, and ensuring logistics stay on track as he moves between writing, teaching, and numerous speaking engagements. The role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, energetic, intuitive, driven, and entrepreneurial.

Qualifications
  • At least one year of professional experience; prior administrative support for a senior staff member preferred.
  • Previous experience on the Hill, in media, or working with a celebrity/public figure could be ideal.
  • Strong communication skills and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the author’s calendar and scheduling.
  • Coordinate complex domestic and international travel; anticipate needs and potential conflicts.
  • Support operational projects for the author’s management team during an exciting growth period.
  • Handle sensitive information with care and confidentiality.
  • Navigate last-minute changes with calm and clear judgment.
  • Build and maintain simple, repeatable systems and checklists to keep work organized.
