Mechanical Supervisor
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our team on a large residential development project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all mechanical installation works, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong background in residential mechanical services to join a growing business and contribute to the successful delivery of a high-profile scheme.
Mechanical Supervisor Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all mechanical installation activities on site.
- Manage mechanical operatives, subcontractors, and specialist contractors.
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Monitor progress against programme and report updates to the Project Manager.
- Coordinate mechanical works with other trades and site teams.
- Carry out quality inspections and ensure high standards of workmanship.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures and regulations.
- Attend site meetings and contribute to project planning and coordination.
- Identify and resolve installation and technical issues.
- Support testing, commissioning, snagging, and handover processes.
- Maintain accurate site records and progress reports.
Mechanical Supervisor Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor within the construction industry.
- Strong residential project experience, including apartment developments.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- CSCS Card.
- SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
- NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing, Pipe fitting, or Mechanical Services.
- First Aid at Work qualification.
- Experience with commissioning and handover procedures.
- Knowledge of quality assurance and inspection processes.
