HGV Technician

Swindon – £20–£23 per hour (Early/Late, Mon–Fri, Permanent). Join a leading commercial vehicle workshop in Swindon as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / LGV Fitter / HGV Fitter / Commercial Vehicle Technician. You’ll service, diagnose and repair HGVs, LGVs and trailers to DVSA/manufacturer standards on a structured Monday–Friday early/late shift with strong pay, regular overtime and clear training pathways.

• Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance on HGVs, LGVs, trailers and commercial vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and complete accurate, high‑quality repairs
• Perform routine inspections, scheduled maintenance and precise documentation
• Maintain workshop standards to ensure a safe, productive environment
• Keep skills current with technical training, product updates and modern vehicle technology

• Experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / LGV Fitter / HGV Fitter / Commercial Vehicle Technician
• Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
• Strong diagnostics, fault‑finding and technical skills
• Full UK driving licence
• (Desirable) HGV Class 1; fleet or main dealer experience; exposure to multiple commercial vehicle types

  Monday–Friday early/late shifts – 06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00
