INFORMATION SERVICES SPECIALIST I

The Information Systems Specialist I provides essential technical support to ensure the reliability and effectiveness of departmental information systems. This role partners with end users to resolve issues, recommend solutions, and support day-to-day technology operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career IT professional looking to build hands‑on experience in systems support, troubleshooting, and user engagement in a collaborative environment.

• Supports department information systems requirements and objectives.
• Consults with system users and makes software and/or hardware recommendations. Installs and/or develops customized software as required.
• Provides training and documentation of software.
• Troubleshoots, maintains and repairs any department hardware and peripherals as necessary.
• May maintain department file server, e.g. back‑ups, additions and deletion of users, etc.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer systems, networks, and applications.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non‑technical users.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Organizational skills with attention to detail.
• This position is onsite.

Hourly Range: $18.85-$30.65

• Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• One (1) year of related experience required.
• Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
