Description:
This is a 24 hour center. There will be some weekends and overnight shifts required.
Directs and administers the operation of day care center serving birth through pre-school age children. Provides administrative leadership in planning, enhancing, and implementing programs. Develops facilities and staff to meet new and existing needs. Responsible for maintaining state licensure, documentation, staffing, financial stability and service to customers.

• Minimum Qualifications
Education/Training
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field; education or certification must meet the criteria for: 90 hours of childcare or CDA, 45 hours of Infant-Toddler, 45 hours in Curriculum Planning, and 45 hours of Administrative services certification, as required by State of Maryland

License/Certification/Registration
• Must meet certification standards for State of Maryland directly or granted through degree/education to include 90 hours of childcare, 9 hours in communication with Staff, Parents and Public, 45 hours of Infant-Toddler, ADA Certification, Medication Administration, food safety certification, and 45 hours of Administrative services.
Experience

• 3 years supervisory experience in child and infant-toddler day care.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills preferred.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Develops and maintains a program designed to involve parents with the center and provide opportunities for parent education. Coordinates regular formal parent conferences to discuss each child's progress in the program.
• Develops and recommends department operating budget and ensures that department operates within budget.
• Assist with creating an educational curriculum
• Fiscal management, marketing and direct administration of program related Center operations
• Establish and maintain a system to ensure cost effective and efficient operations and policies and procedures: personnel supervision preparation and administration of the budgeting process, billing and insurance information with accounting
• Will assist the center with Maryland Excel Accreditation and all other child care accreditation
• Coordinate accounts receivable and accounts payable operations for Center with accounting office
• Prepare/help prepare budget, implement and monitor it for compliance; ensure enrollment meets budget projections
