• Be a Team Member: Collaborate with other associates to build a strong meat team; communicate with the members of the team; and be flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas.
• Be an Expert: Demonstrate knowledge of business on the floor, backroom operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and the operation, maintenance and sanitization of equipment; prepare (e.g., cutting, grinding, wrapping, trimming) meat products according to established standards; cut boneless meat products; and maintain product quality standards.
• Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
• Be an Owner: Ensure commitment to operational excellence, maintain work area according to company policies and procedures; uphold quality and date‑control standards for meat products; secure fragile and high‑shrink merchandise; eliminate waste; assist members with purchasing decisions; and ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled and stored in accordance with company policies and procedures.
