• Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Supervise and direct activities of varying levels of nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines using critical thinking and professional judgment.
• Monitor patient status; administer medications and treatments as ordered; document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Assess and plan care, develop and update care plans, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to achieve patient goals.
• Maintain patient safety, adhere to policies, ensure infection control practices, and contribute to quality improvement.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families; provide education and discharge planning as appropriate.

• Active Registered Nurse license in California (or eligibility for CA licensure)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Prior behavioral health/psychiatric nursing experience preferred
• Ability to work night shift in a hospital setting
• Education:
  
  Associate Degree in Nursing (RN) required; BSN preferred
