General Construction Laborer

Salary Range: $30.00 To $40.00 Hourly
We are seeking a dependable and skilled General Construction Laborer to assist with the build‑out of a themed commercial entertainment venue in Valparaiso, Indiana. This is a temporary project‑based position expected to run through October 2026.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in commercial construction environments and be comfortable performing a variety of carpentry, framing, installation, and general construction tasks.
We are looking for someone who can work with minimal supervision, take pride in their work, show up consistently, and help keep the project moving toward completion. This position is best suited for someone with hands‑on construction experience rather than entry‑level labor.
Pay rate will be $25-35 per hour, based upon experience

- Material handling and site organization
- Assisting with electrical, HVAC, and plumbing rough‑in activities
- Stage and platform construction
- Installation of doors, trim, and finish materials
- Basic demolition and remodeling work
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Following project plans and direction from the General Contractor
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Work habits include regular attendance, teamwork, initiative, dependability, and promptness.
- Minimum 2 years of construction experience
- Experience with commercial framing preferred
- Ability to read tape measures and basic construction drawings
- Experience operating common power tools
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Experience with finish carpentry is a plus
- Welding or fabrication experience is a plus but not required
- Reliable transportation
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
