About the Role
The Corporate Accounting Coordinator will be responsible for executing the day‑to‑day accounting requirements including processing invoices and expenses, preparing detailed accounting schedules and accounting records along with other administrative tasks to contribute to the finance and accounting department.
Primary
Job Responsibilities
Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes including preparing monthly bank reconciliations and monthly invoices
Prepare journal entries and assist with the financial close process to ensure accurate and timely reporting
Assist with research
Assist with preparation of financial reports, budgets and forecasts
Prepare monthly and annual tax returns
Process corporate and project vendor invoices
Participate in process/systems improvements and efficiencies
Other ad hoc duties as required
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Post‑secondary education in finance or accounting
Strong attention to detail as well as organizational skills
Time management skills and ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Team oriented, motivated, and collaborative
Demonstrates a proactive and flexible attitude and a “how can I help?” approach
Required Training and Experience
1‑3 years of experience in bookkeeping and administration
Currently pursuing, or planning to pursue, an accounting designation
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Interest in the real estate development field is highly preferred, but not necessary
Yardi Software experience is an asset
Working Conditions
Based at our corporate office, located in Downtown Vancouver, the successful candidate may expect a comfortable and collaborative work environment in a modern office setting.
Salary Range: $60,000 – 75,000 / year
