We have partnered with a premier consumer goods company to find an agile and motived salesperson to join their team as a Business Development Manager.Our client, a leading Canadian buying group of home goods, building materials and consumer electronics has a new opportunity to join its dynamic team in the full-time position of Business Development Manager and the opportunity to grow a high-potential territory in British Columbia. Reporting to the Regional Director, you will manage to exist and established relationships with independent retailers. The current territory is ripe for development within our client's key segments. As a successful Business Development Manager, you are up for a challenge, thrive off of building new relationships and have a "hunter" mentality. Position responsibilities include serving independent retailers, providing solution recommendations and technical information, and presenting and promoting a constantly evolving portfolio of trend-setting services. Key objectives also include generating business via tapping into industry data and reports toward identifying and capitalizing on potential business opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess all or some of the following:
Industry experience within consumer goods and an understanding of the retail supply chain, specifically within home goods, consumer electronics and residential building materials
A background with a proven track record of success developing new clients
Other desirable skill sets include; a passion and flair for retail strong communication and presentation skills and an understanding of marketing and promotions from a retail perspective
Candidates must have proficient PC skills and a valid driver’s license
Candidates with strong interactive and communication skills will thrive in this relationship-driven business.
