WSP is expressing interest in candidates for the Intermediate Mine Waste Engineer role as our practice grows. This position involves designing waste containment systems, conducting stability assessments, and managing tailings with a focus on compliance with environmental regulations. You'll be integral in crafting solutions that harmonize with both community and ecological interests.
Key Responsibilities:
• Guide construction of mine waste solutions for protection
• Carry out geotechnical investigations and assessments
• Develop waste management strategies meeting regulatory expectations
• Generate clear, data-driven technical reports and assessments
• Collaborate with diverse teams for project success
Requirements:
• 5–7 years of experience in mining environments
• Degree in Geotechnical, Civil, or Geological Engineering
• Knowledge of CSA/ICMM/GISTM frameworks
• Excellent technical writing and data presentation skills
• Familiarity with environmental regulatory processes
Drive meaningful results in mining waste engineering with WSP.
