RBC Dominion Securities, a leading full-service investment and wealth management firm, is seeking an Associate Advisor to join our downtown Vancouver branch. The role supports the Investment Advisor team by providing proactive client service and contributing to business growth.
Responsibilities- Organize meetings and events in partnership with the Investment Advisor, including agenda setting, documentation preparation, and post‑meeting follow‑up.
- Attend client meetings as required and provide proactive client service.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure timely and smooth solutions for client inquiries.
- Respond to account inquiries and own follow‑ups.
- Help build and execute business plans, client segmentation exercises, and client service plans.
- Identify opportunities for asset consolidation and referrals within the existing client base.
- Support new client acquisition and manage relationships with Centers of Influence (COIs) and RBC partners.
- Assist with trading and portfolio rebalancing support.
- Conduct ongoing research on markets and investments, providing regular updates to the advisory team.
- Coordinate activities with internal Wealth Management specialists, manage documentation, track progress, and follow up.
- Must‑have:
Approval as a Registered Representative (RR) with IIROC; 2+ years of professional experience within the investment industry in a similar role; completion of the Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam, CIRE, and the Retail Securities Exam; university degree. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong skills working with business applications/technology, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Nice‑to‑have:
Meticulous attention to detail; strong problem‑solving and analytical skills; highly developed client service skills;
Mandarin/Cantonese language skills.

Base Salary: $40,000 – $60,000 per year. The position may be eligible to receive a discretionary/variable incentive payment up to 1.5x base salary.
