Responsibilities
Under the general guidance of the Treasury Manager, the Treasury Analyst performs treasury and accounting duties related to enterprise‑wide cash management, forecasting, online banking and other general banking functions.

Performs analysis, consolidation of treasury and accounting reporting of the Enterprise’s investing and financing activities and a variety of miscellaneous Treasury duties for the Enterprise. Coordinates the direct deposit application process with vendors for various changes to their modes of payment, prepares audit schedules, provides information to auditors, prepares financial reports, and participates in special projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

Performs a variety of treasury and accounting duties related to enterprise‑wide cash management and forecasting by updating the Treasury Management System (TMS) on a daily basis, including reviewing and updating the daily consolidated cash flow forecast, coordinating consolidation of cash flow activity with appropriate short‑term borrowing and investments, liaising with other departments for future cash requirements, validating data updates, downloading bank BAI files, monitoring TMS reports, and updating TMS for new bank accounts and ledger entries.

Performs a variety of online banking and other general banking functions including reviewing, verifying, uploading weekly wire transfers and electronic fund transfers, inputting bank transfers within Trans Link’s own bank accounts, processing monthly Federal Fund releases to General Fund, advising the Treasury Manager on account adjustments, acting as enterprise‑wide system administrator for Scotiabank online banking, and liaising with subsidiaries to ensure proper accounting of inter‑company transactions.

Performs analysis and consolidation of treasury and accounting reporting of the Enterprise’s investing and financing activities, ensuring timely entry into TMS, preparing journal vouchers and ledger entries, monitoring payment terms of debt instruments, maintaining investment and debt sub‑ledgers, reconciling general ledger reconciliations, verifying related reports for data integrity, and assisting the Treasury Manager in compliance and corrective action.

Performs miscellaneous treasury and accounting duties, including calculating monthly Interest During Construction (IDC) rate and distributing/posting the information as required, coordinating direct deposit application changes with vendors, checking for potential fraud, verifying accurate banking information, preparing audit schedules, and participating in special projects as assigned.

Performs related duties as assigned that are of a minor nature.

Qualifications
Completion of a university degree and achievement of the CPA or another related finance or accounting designation.

Experience
Requires up to two (2) years of previous experience in treasury or a related function, working with computerized software within a large organisation, including duties related to enterprise‑wide cash management, debt management, forecasting, analysis, consolidation of treasury and accounting reporting, and general banking/treasury functions. An additional period of one (1) year is required to acquire knowledge and skills relating to Trans Link treasury management program, policies, and procedures.

Work Schedule
37.5 hours per week.

Work Designation
Hybrid – this position offers the flexibility of working both on‑site and remotely within B.C.

Rate of Pay
Salary $6,918 – $8,309 per month (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity).
