Compensation Details:
- Underwriter 18 :
Salaries typically range from $96,557 to $128, 743 annually, based on qualifications and experiences, plus a performance-based incentive. - Underwriter 19 :
Salaries typically range from $112,006 to $149, 341 annually, based on qualifications and experiences, plus a performance-based incentive.
Location:
- Export Development Canada operates in a hybrid work environment with a current requirement of two in-office days per week, increasing to three days per week in September 2026 (subject to change)
- This role can be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa or from our Community Hubs located in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Vancouver or Halifax.
- Relocation assistance is available for candidates who meet the eligibility criteria.

Team Overview:
EDC’s Corporate Lending Team provides financing solutions in support of Canadian exports and foreign investments to:
- Canadian exporters and their foreign customers; and
- Canadian investors and their foreign affiliates.
Within this group, the Corporate Lending practice is seeking financing professionals with experience in corporate loans credit analysis, projection building, structuring, documentation and portfolio management. With the customer’s needs always in view and in close collaboration with EDC’s Business Development, Legal Services, Corporate Sustainability & Responsibility Group, plus our external banking partners both domestically and internationally. The successful candidate will be relied upon to understand the customer’s needs, structure a solution which addresses those needs, assess the credit risk and recommend risk mitigation strategies as appropriate to achieve the optimal balance between customer-centricity and EDC’s business requirements.
