As a permanent member of the team, you will work closely with child and youth victims, advocating for their needs and helping navigate the complexities of the justice system.
Your role will also involve supporting adult survivors of childhood abuse and working collaboratively with various service providers to ensure effective care delivery. The position demands crisis intervention experience and strong communication skills to foster meaningful relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advocate for and support child victims of crime
• Assist in navigating the justice and social services system
• Implement risk assessment techniques and safety plans
• Keep thorough documentation for case management
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or relevant field
• Minimum two years of experience in victim advocacy
• Familiarity with crisis intervention and support systems
• Strong teamwork and communication capabilities
• Ability to perform administrative tasks effectively
