Vancouver Aboriginal Health Society seeks a Family Violence Intervention Program Coordinator to lead a culturally grounded six-week program. Engage directly with participants and Elders in this impactful role.
As a temporary, full-time coordinator, you will facilitate healing processes at the Phil Bouvier Family Centre. Your commitment to Indigenous pedagogies will guide participants in their healing journeys. Collaborating with the community and maintaining case documentation is crucial in supporting individuals with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead culturally grounded group healing sessions
• Develop personalized case support plans
• Offer follow-up and aftercare for participants
• Collaborate in enhancing curriculum content
• Assist with case management requirements
Requirements:
• 3+ years facilitating group processes
• Expertise in Indigenous worldviews and healing
• Experience with urban Indigenous populations
• Knowledge of trauma and mental health issues
• Strong skills in documentation and organization
