Electrical Engineer

A Senior Electrical Engineering job in Vergennes, VT 05491 is currently available through Belcan at one of our key aerospace clients. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field and 7-10 years of relevant experience.

• Support the design, simulation, and validation of electrical circuits and systems for motor control applications
• Assist with the development of switching power supplies and power converter technologies
• Contribute to electrical engineering activities for new product development to meet specifications, quality standards, and functional objectives
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, systems, software, and project engineering teams to support integrated product development
• Help troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on existing products to improve reliability, yield, and performance
• Create and maintain engineering documentation for new and existing hardware

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field
• 7-10 years of relevant electrical engineering experience
• Ability to work in a structured, process-driven engineering environment

• Exposure to aerospace or defense electrical or electromechanical systems
• Familiarity with motor control technologies, including BLDC motors
• Experience or academic exposure to PCB design tools (Mentor Graphics, Cadence OrCAD/Allegro, or Altium)
• Experience using circuit simulation tools such as SPICE
• Awareness of EMI/EMC and environmental qualification standards (MIL‑STD‑461, MIL‑STD‑810, DO‑160)
• Hands‑on experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, and multimeters
