• Prepare reports, correspondence and memoranda, reviewing drafts and final copies.
• Maintain student entries/withdrawals, and cumulative files.
• Type, collect and report information as directed.
• Respond to telephone calls, give information to callers, or route calls to appropriate staff.
• Assist in the coordination of special office projects and activities.
• May be required to maintain student cumulative records.
• Place orders for materials, verify quantities delivered, and distribute to staff.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of materials and equipment.
• Report unauthorized persons and/or damage to appropriate authority as required.
• Attend District training as required.
• Support the value of education and the philosophy and mission of the District.

Position Type: Full-time

• QUALIFICATIONS –
  • High School Diploma
  • Two to three years related experience and/or training
  • Must possess working knowledge of Windows operating system, email, word processing and internet search strategies.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• High School/Trade School degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Pownal Elementary School serves students in grades kindergarten-6. The school prides itself on supporting the whole child, giving students many opportunities to engage in a variety of activities catered to individual interests. PES has a vibrant school culture, starting with Miss Poppy, the school’s catamount statue that was donated by community members. The fiberglass statue was painted by a local artist and greets all who visit Pownal Elementary School.
