Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Contract/1099)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our outpatient mental health team. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate, high-quality mental health care and medication management to clients as young as age 5 through adults.
This is a contract/1099 role. The pay is $100 for 60 min visits and $50 for admin time.
The ideal candidate will be available to work two evenings a week (Monday & Thursday). Potential for some flexibility on the days of the week worked and growth opportunities in the future.
KeyDuties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and ongoing psychiatric and physical status based on the presenting symptoms and complaints, establish patient diagnoses, and manage medications for ages 5 through the lifespan in an outpatient setting
- Documents clients’ medical and psychological histories, physical assessment results, diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions, and outcomes for assigned clients
- Educates clients and family members about mental health and medical conditions, preventive health measures, medications, and treatment plans
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members including psychiatrists, psychologists, dietitians and therapists to develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans
- Masters of Science in Nursing, with a Psychiatric/Mental Health emphasis, from an accredited college or university (required)
- Licensed as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) by the Illinois Board of Nursing (required)
- Experience working with children ages 5+, adolescents, and adults (required)
- Three (3) to five (5) years of clinical experience
- Experience working in higher level of care/hospital setting (required)
- Experience working with eating disorder populations (preferred)
- Superior analytical and problem solving abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
