Fire Alarm Service Technician

Description

• Install, test, inspect, and maintain fire alarm systems according to NFPA and local codes.
• Troubleshoot system issues, diagnose problems and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of fire alarm systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance.
• Program and configure fire alarm control panels, detectors, and other system components.
• Collaborate with clients and team members to develop practical solutions for their fire detection and alarm needs.
• Respond to service calls in a timely manner and provide exceptional customer service.
• Document all service and repair activities accurately and maintain detailed records.
• Stay updated on industry advancements, codes, and regulations related to fire alarm systems.

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Experience with a variety of fire alarm systems, including addressable, conventional, and voice evacuation systems.
• Familiarity with testing and diagnostic equipment used in the fire alarm industry.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve complex problems.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid Florida driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vero Beach, FL.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
