Job Responsibilities
- Provides a caring, high-quality program and educational focus in assigned classroom(s).
- Ensures the health and safety of classroom children; maintains consistent supervision.
- Encourages involvement with children.
- Plans, evaluates, and implements educational programs including curricula, classroom planning/reporting, age-appropriate development strategies that enhance child's learning.
- Maintains attendance records; provides individualized instructions.
- Implements age-appropriate development and culture activities.
- Completes classroom progress reports.
- Participates in response to intervention (RIT) process.
- Identifies and supports children's differences and needs; adjusts curriculum and/or environment as necessary.
- Monitors classroom management in size, ratio, attendance, mealtime, toileting, resting, classroom experience, schedules, and procedures.
- In conjunction with Assistant Teacher ensures adequate supplies and resources remain available.
- Participates in classroom transition processes.
- Abides by and enforces company policies and procedures.
- Earns and maintains consistent customer satisfaction, maximizing enrollment potential and minimizing student withdrawals.
- Follows all required business management practices.
- Displays enthusiasm and a nurturing demeanor at all times.
- Participates in team efforts to achieve company's vision.
- Assists in quality rating improvement efforts.
- Offers clear and concise communications including conferencing with parents and/or personnel.
- Strong organizational skills

A Bachelor's/Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, social work, psychology or other human services field; or an Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, social work, psychology, or other human services field and 2 years of experience with children are qualifying.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have advanced interpersonal/communication skills, creativity with problem-solving skills, ability to effectively read/write English and intermediate understanding of technology and MS Office programs.
