Position: Full-Time Geological Assistant
Enhance your geology career as a Mineral Deposit Geological Assistant at BC Geological Survey in Victoria, BC. Engage in data collection, GIS mapping, and work closely with project geologists.

This full-time, externally funded role is perfect for undergraduate students in Geology or related fields. Candidates will utilize software tools for geological data evaluation and interpretation, contributing to significant geological research projects. Safety and quality will be central to all tasks performed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support data collection and geological analysis projects

• Execute GIS mapping for mineral deposits assessments

• Conduct laboratory work and assist in field projects

• Synthesize geological and geochemical data for reports

• Collaborate on publications within the geological community

Requirements:

• Active enrollment in an undergraduate geology program

• Competence in GIS and MS Office software

• Experience interpreting geological and geochemical data

• A valid BC Class 5 Driver’s Licence is an asset

• Preference for recent graduates in relevant disciplines
