The Wellness Connection, LLC is pleased to announce that we are expanding our clinical team. We are currently seeking a Licensed Acupuncturist. The ideal candidate will bring a unique personal background of life experience and professional training, as well as the personality, skill, and style to deliver that expertise in a way that can deeply connect with clients and team members. Candidate will have extensive experience treating a variety of conditions, such as sleep issues, nausea, headaches, back pain, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and infertility. Acupuncture may be used alone, or as an adjunct to traditional medical care.

We believe that wellness requires a system of healthcare professionals, collaborating on the overall care of our clients to initiate permanent positive change. Our multidisciplinary practice offers mental health counseling, art therapy, hypnotherapy, pet therapy, ADHD coaching, behavioral therapy and autism services, acupuncture, craniosacral therapy, nutrition counseling and life coaching, educational workshops, yoga, and a weekly farmers market sourced by local farmers.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be board certified through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM)Must have a current, active license to practice acupuncture in Virginia and abide by the certifying body's requirements for continuing educationMaster’s or advanced level degree in acupuncture or oriental medicine from a program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM), Graduates of foreign acupuncture programs meet the requirements if they have a full unrestricted and current license to practice acupuncture in the state of VirginiaHave comprehensive liability insurance and a workers compensation policyUndergo a background checkHave at least 2 years of experienceMotivated to grow a full-time client base and pursue excellent service, business acumenAbility to work autonomously, as well as part of a teamOutstanding written and verbal communication skills
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Utilize standard medical evaluation procedures and East Asian Medicine evaluation to formulate a differential diagnosisDevelop a thorough acupuncture treatment plan based on diagnosisSkilled in the selection and use of appropriate acupuncture tools and supplies based on client needsAbility to educate patients on healthy lifestyle changes, including nutrition, exercise, sleep habits, stress management, mind/body techniques, and other matters related to acupuncture careActively engage in the development and maintenance of a full-time caseloadMaintain accurate clinical and financial records within our electronic health record systemPrepare documentation, correspondence, and reports as neededMaintains training and attends recommended weekly peer supervision meetingsCreate and manage relationships with the community and referring partnersParticipate in workshops, community activities, and retreats sponsored by the practice on occasionBe an active part of a diverse team dedicated to excellenceAbility to screen referrals and refer clients to other resources or specialists as neededStay abreast of new developments in the field through professional literature, courses and maintaining contact with other community/social service agenciesProvide industry relevant tips for the practice newsletter and community blog
Most responsibilities will take place at The Wellness Connection facility in Stone Ridge, Virginia with professional staffing averaging 20 people. Spacious, climate-controlled, modern, luxurious offices will be provided upon appointments. This is an Independent Contractor position with a revenue share model, so there is a great potential for earning!
