Overview
Vantor is forging the new frontier of spatial intelligence. We are looking for an experienced Data Hunter/Librarian to join our team at a customer site in McLean, VA. The role involves collecting and managing structured data sets for the customer, including data discovery, cleanup, ingestion, updates, and cataloging.
EligibilityMust be a U.S. Citizen, with an active U.S. Government security clearance at TS/SCI level with required polygraph. Clearance status will be verified upon hiring.
Responsibilities- Search for data and supporting documentation that can be utilized in the customer’s various applications.
- Flush out metadata information to keep catalog system entries accurate and up to date.
- Perform duties associated with data cataloging.
- Build partnerships across the customer’s organization to determine which datasets should be collected, stored, and made available.
- Serve as a Data Transfer Officer moving data from the open internet to customer systems.
- Perform any needed data clean‑up and reformatting of datasets for inclusion in customer’s applications.
- Monitor storage space allocations and inform customer when available space has reached specific thresholds.
- Monitor the effectiveness of AI queries to data holdings to determine if such queries are accurate and valid.
- Active/current TS/SCI clearance with required polygraph.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant field.
- Strong experience working with structured datasets.
- Experience with metadata cataloging systems.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Previous All‑Source analyst experience.
- Experience or familiarity with general library science cataloging theory, principles and practices.
- Experience with data conversion using various tools and applications.
- Experience with relational database design and SQL query workflows.
- Understanding of Intelligence Community regulations for data collection and retention, including the 1974 Privacy Act and Congress‑mandated U.S. persons information regulations.
The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $ - $ annually.
