Summary
The Carpenter will perform under the supervision of a foreman/lead. Duties include constructing, erecting, stripping, and/or repairing structures of steel, wood, and plywood using hand and power tools, conforming to construction documents. The role may involve all of the following duties and may specialize in one or more areas.
Roles and ResponsibilitiesThe Carpenter will possess competency in the following areas to perform his or her role in a safe, productive, and effective manner:
- Installs Footing Forms
- Builds and Installs Wall and Column Forms
- Builds and Installs Structural Deck Forms
- Sets Slab-on-Grade Forms
- Preps and Sets Tilt-up/Precast Forms
- Works with Building Layout
- Ensures a Safe Work Environment
- Participates in Training/Certifications
- High School Diploma and a minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or training.
