Position Summary

The General Manager’s (GM) primary responsibility is the oversight, management, and operation of events at a designated location. The GM recruits local staff, hires qualified individuals, and provides training based on our company service excellence standards. The GM manages the team and the event operations at the venue on event days, leading an exciting and multi‑faceted portfolio of events and ensuring the delivery of operational excellence with unsurpassed customer service.

In addition, the GM serves as the primary point of contact for on‑site business partners and cultivates and grows the business. This position involves night and weekend work and the potential for some travel, and functions under the supervision of the Regional General Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership to the staff for the account in the office and at events.
  • Communicate regularly with the REVELXP Staffing Operations Management Team to provide updates on the internal and external account operations.
  • Build, maintain, and nourish constructive relationships with clients; expand current relationships and identify and grow new business opportunities.
  • Lead large‑scale staff training on both company and client venue standards—including venue breakouts, emergency management, customer service, positive team environment, and staff job duties among others.
  • Create and track all event invoices at the account while using the REVELXP workforce management solution system.
  • Ensure compliance with all company administrative policies and procedures.
  • Manage account budgets, reporting, invoicing, onboarding processes, time processes, and communication for all clients and groups within the account.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of large‑scale sports & event management experience or collegiate/professional football experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing large groups of people in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Previous football operations (or large event) experience required.
  • Passion for customer service.
  • Lead by example both professionally and personally.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and comfort speaking in front of large groups for staff training and other engagements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Ability to respond to change in a positive and productive manner.
  • Demonstrated organization and attention to small, critical details.
  • Capability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to operate in a quick, energetic manner.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; comfortable providing and receiving feedback in a professional manner.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events.
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 40 pounds (e.g., event materials, signage).
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach.
  • Manual dexterity to handle event materials and technology.
  • Ability to work in varied environmental conditions, including outdoor spaces.
  • Good visual acuity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel to event sites as needed.
Work Environment
  • Combination of office and on‑site event environments.
  • Fast‑paced conditions during live events.
  • Frequent interaction with clients, vendors, and large groups.
  • Often required to work evenings, weekends, holidays, or multi‑day assignments as needed.
  • Position functions with significant independence in day‑to‑day management.
  • Long periods of standing and constant movement around the event venue on event days; longer hours/days are expected during large events and training sessions.
  • Long periods of sitting while on the phone and at the computer are common on office days.
