Transportation Supervisor

Overview

Waco Transit System has an immediate opening for a career-minded individual for the position of Transportation Supervisor. Experience in the passenger transportation industry is preferred, but not required. This is a supervisory position that involves dispatching and monitoring buses and drivers. This position is responsible for scheduling details needed to provide efficient bus service for citizens in the area served. Supervision includes all the activities of bus drivers in operating situations and the investigation of customer complaints about drivers and bus operations.

The supervisor will dispatch and monitor buses and drivers, manage scheduling details to provide efficient bus service, supervise bus driver activities in operating situations, and investigate customer complaints about drivers and bus operations.

The qualified applicant must have a basic level of computer experience and be able to analyze issues and resolve them in a professional and courteous manner along with having the ability to implement organizational procedures and requirements concerning safety and operational policies. Candidates must pass a D.O.T. physical/ drug screen and have a minimum of 5 years experience as a licensed driver, must have, or be able to obtain within three months, a Commercial Driver's License with a passenger endorsement.
