The Goddard School of Wadsworth is searching for a Lead Pre‑K Teacher who sees big potential in little learners. In this role, you’ll design a classroom where curiosity leads the way by blending play, exploration, and purposeful instruction to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond. From building early literacy and math skills to guiding friendships and problem‑solving, you’ll help children grow in confidence and independence every day.
You will lead your classroom team with positivity and intention, partner with families, and create a welcoming space where every child feels seen, valued, and inspired.

Key Responsibilities- Plan and implement age‑appropriate curriculum that supports cognitive, social‑emotional, and physical development
- Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
- Establish and maintain consistent daily routines and positive behavior expectations
- Observe, assess, and document children’s development and progress
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Build strong, respectful relationships with children and families
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s progress, needs, and milestones
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑prepared classroom environment
- Support children in developing independence, self‑help, and social skills
- Address behavioral challenges using positive guidance techniques
- Bachelor or Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred
- 1–2 years of experience preferred
- Has successfully completed state‑required pre‑service training
- Has knowledge of childcare programming, safety and emergency first‑aid procedures, program management and customer service principles
- Skilled at developing relationships and communicating effectively with children, parents, and faculty members
- Is dependable, adaptable and enjoys working in teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with outstanding ability to listen and follow‑up on issues constructively
- Ability to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multi‑tasking to ensure smooth school operations
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. Infant and Young Toddler Teachers must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
