Financial Analyst, Financial Consultant

The Purpose of Your Role: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Paraplanner to support our financial planning team. In this role, you will work closely with senior financial planners to deliver high-quality financial advice and services to clients. Your responsibilities will include researching, preparing financial documents, analyzing client data, and assisting in the development of financial strategies. You will play a critical role in ensuring that all aspects of the financial planning process run smoothly, from research and documentation to client meetings, and follow up.
Whatyou’ll bring to Sentinel:
- Licensed Series 65 or 7/66
- Life Accident and Health Licensing (or ability to obtain in first 90 days)
- Knowledge of financial planning principles, investment strategies, and risk management
- Proficiency in using advance planning in eMoney
- Experience working with individual clients or admin in Wealth Management
- Client Support: Assist senior financial planners in managing client relationships, ensuring client needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Research & Analysis: Conduct comprehensive financial research, including investments, tax strategies, estate planning, insurance, and retirement planning.
- Financial Reports & Proposals: Prepare and review detailed financial reports, including investment portfolio analysis, cash flow projections, and retirement plans. Generate recommendations that align with clients' financial goals.
- Document Preparation: Draft financial plans, client correspondence, and reports for review and presentation to clients.
- Compliance: Ensure all client files, reports, and recommendations comply with company policies and relevant financial regulations.
- Technology Utilization: Leverage eMoney financial planning software to prepare financial models, projections, and reports.
- Client Meetings: Support client meetings, take notes, and assist in developing action items. Follow up on any outstanding tasks or questions from meetings.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with current financial planning practices, tax laws, and market trends to ensure high-quality and informed advice.
- Team Collaboration

Work closely with financial advisors, administrators, and other professionals within the organization to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
The financial planning industry is ever evolving. We are looking for a Paraplanner who is able to continually adapt their skills and knowledge to best serve the needs of clients and support the attainment of their financial objectives.
Preferred qualifications:- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Paraplanner or in a similar financial planning support role.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. We encourage candidates with relevant experience and a strong passion for financial planning to apply, even if they do not have a formal degree.
- Technical
Skills:
Strong knowledge of financial planning software (e.g., eMoney,), Microsoft Excel, and other office tools. - Knowledge: Solid understanding of financial products, tax planning, investment strategies, retirement planning, and estate planning.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Client-Focused: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex financial information, identify issues, and develop practical solutions.
- CFP or in pursuit of CFP
- Proven experience in financial planning, wealth management, or a related role is an advantage.
Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000, depending on experience and licensing. At Sentinel, compensation is calibrated to your geographic location to reflect local market conditions; the posted salary range may vary based on where you live.
