Commercial Driver; CDL - Walker, MI

Role Overview

The primary responsibility of the Commercial Driver III is to operate a company truck to deliver goods and services to a diverse customer base. In addition, the driver performs general warehouse duties such as stocking, retrieving packages and bulk containers, operating a forklift, and maintaining general housekeeping.

• Operate material handling equipment including forklift, order picker, pallet jack, and other equipment.
• Operate a manual pallet jack with pallets weighing up to 3,200 lbs.
• Ensure all shipments include proper shipping documents.
• Perform vehicle safety inspections.
• Maintain mileage and fuel logs on all vehicles.
• Ensure no product leaves or enters the warehouse without necessary paperwork.
• Meet and complete all regulatory and safety requirements.
• Assist with maintaining warehouse cleanliness.

• 2+ years of commercial driving experience.
• Valid driver’s license with Class‑A CDL and a clean driving record.
• Ability to repeatedly bend and lift boxes and bags up to 50 lbs.
• Endorsements for Doubles, Haz‑Mat, and Tankers, or willingness to obtain.
• Forklift experience (certification will be provided on the job).
• Ability to work overtime hours during busy seasons.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Professional and courteous appearance when interacting with customers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Experience in agriculture (preferred).

• Base compensation ranges from $20.82 to $27.75 per hour (may vary by skills and experience).
