Summary
The Technical Sales Specialist will support the operational needs of key accounts in Europe from one of our US facilities. This role bridges cross-functional departments with the TMS Europe Sales team to ensure seamless execution, providing differentiated RF/microwave interconnect solutions for a broad range of requirements in various market segments. Provide technical expertise and deliver superior service to customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Provide support as a liaison for selected key accounts in Europe, supporting the European PM's and BDMs.
- Act as a trusted technical adviser to customers, understanding their RF system requirements, constraints, and timelines.
- Support Account Managers, Business Development Managers (BDMs), Program Managers, and the customer service team from purchase order receipt through successful delivery. Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure on‑time, accurate fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with senior sales leadership to assess, prioritize, and address strategic account needs and gaps.
- Periodic travel to Times Microwave Systems' factories in the US and align with production and operational processes.
- Travel internationally to European customer sites at least 1‑2 times per year, in alignment with the local BDM's and Program Manager strategic goals, to visit key accounts, strengthen customer relationships, and oversee operations.
- Present technology concepts to customers/partners in support of pre‑sales activities.
- Provide expertise and support to sales teams to communicate products, services, and client needs.
- Collaborate with BDM's and PM's on cost estimates by studying all related customer documents, consulting with engineers, purchasing, manufacturing, etc.
- Perform accurate requirements analysis; understand full depth of customer requirements and recommend products while presenting strengths‑weakness trade‑offs.
- Work closely with customers' engineering teams to provide creative and innovative design solutions.
- Work with marketing, sales, and customers during the evaluation of products to resolve any technical issues and drive design‑in/design‑win activities.
- Work with design engineers to create supporting documents such as product drawings, datasheets, and application notes.
- Draft or assist with drafting presentations and other documentation that explains products and services to customers.
- Participate in the design review and release process.
- Work with the engineering team to define testing and evaluation where required.
- Take responsibility for internal and external customer success from conception to shipping.
- Support the internal product development and manufacturing process as new products and technologies are integrated into the portfolio.
- Maintain catalog, datasheet, and technical content; write and/or assist in writing technical documents.
- Polished interpersonal and communication skills, along with the technical acumen to guide customers toward solutions to their interconnect problems.
- Travel 10%.
- A bachelor's degree in science, technology, or engineering discipline.
- 3‑5 years of experience in sales operations, program/project management, or engineering in a technical or manufacturing environment.
- Experience with RF products/applications and knowledge of RF/Microwave components commonly used in RF subsystems, including amplifiers, mixers, limiters, attenuators, filters, switches, couplers, VCOs, etc.
- Experience in RF system development for frequencies up to 70 GHz.
- All applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without restriction to ITAR documentation and materials.
- Work experience in a technical role with customer interaction.
