Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician

Support and oversee repair within Walmart facilities for refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills. Utilize hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs efficiently and safely.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive and support repair work orders for stores and store associates, documenting repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by performing work per Walmart Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

• 10 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Completion of a 2-year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or 2-year associate’s in A/C and refrigeration.
• Excellent driving record.
• Prior work experience with glycol and CO₂ systems.
