Job SummaryThe NPD Engineer is responsible for leading technical projects on new and existing products. This role drives product design, verification and validation testing, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives across AVAVA’s product portfolio
Job Duties- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and release new designs for AVAVA products.
- Collaborate with Product Development, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to define test requirements and ensure full coverage of design requirements.
- Plan and execute verification and validation (V&V) testing to ensure compliance with product requirements and quality standards
- Create and maintain risk management documentation in compliance with applicable standards and regulations
- Create, revise, and release engineering documentation through formal change control processes
- Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for product and process issues
- Mentor junior engineers on best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in sustaining or product development roles.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage technical work
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of quality control standards and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with risk management and design controls preferred
- Experience in medical device development or regulated industries preferred
- Proficiency in CAD desired
