The Systems Engineering Co‑op will support the Mechanical and Test engineering teams. The intent of this role is to provide support for the testing of equipment under development and for sustaining engineering tasks. This role will report to the Test Supervisor who will provide guidance on the creation and execution of Engineering Test Protocols. The position may also assist the greater engineering team with design or assembly work to support general development tasks.

What you’ll do- Assist in the creation of Engineering Test Protocols to support the engineering teams.
- Execute Engineering and Software Test Protocols using Nova Biomedical analyzers or other lab test equipment.
- Analyze data and write Engineering Test Reports.
- Assist in troubleshooting of analyzers during the execution of test protocols.
- Build devices or test fixtures to support the Engineering team.
- Write Engineering Change Orders or Manufacturing Variances.
- Design test fixtures or jigs to support development.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Solid mechanical aptitude with ability to use hand tools.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
- Experience in Solid Works is desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:
- Biomedical Engineering / Bioengineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Biology
- Mechanical Engineering
- Alternating between standing and sitting.
- Fine motor manipulation.
- Gross motor manipulation.
- Hearing.
- Keyboarding.
- Lifting/Carrying up to 20 lbs.
- Moving objects.
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Walking.
- Ability to wear PPE.

Work Location: on‑site in our Waltham facility 5 days/week (M‑F)
Targeted Salary Range: $23- $25/hour
Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
