Job Description

This role will lead revenue accounting operations within a SaaS environment, with direct exposure to ASC 606, M&A integration, and system implementation. The position offers a balanced mix of technical accounting and analytical responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own revenue recognition under ASC 606 (SaaS)
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for revenue
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and revenue schedules
  • Perform GL, balance sheet, and P&L analysis with supporting subledger detail
  • Review complex contracts and determine appropriate accounting treatment
  • Support preparation of financial statements (U.S. GAAP)
  • Develop and document revenue policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Assist with ERP transition (Sage Intacct → Net Suite/Pigment)
  • Support audit requests and technical accounting documentation
  • Manage offshore resources (Revenue Accountant)
  • Prepare and maintain commission deferral calculations
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting or financial reporting experience
  • Strong ASC 606 and revenue recognition expertise (SaaS preferred)
  • Experience with Net Suite, Salesforce, and/or Sage Intacct
  • Solid U.S. GAAP knowledge
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling capability
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to operate independently in a fully remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • B2B SaaS industry experience
  • Experience in high-growth, acquisition‑driven environments
  • Exposure to ERP implementations and system migrations
  • MBA or advanced degree
  • Experience with planning/reporting tools (e.g., Pigment)
