Job Summary
A seasonal associate must provide outstanding customer service and accurate information to customers regarding merchandise carried within Family Farm and Home. Responsibilities include assisting with product merchandising, register operations, and supporting store management as needed. The position is temporary, effective from February 1st to July 31st, with an opportunity for permanent employment based on performance and availability.
Responsibilities- Promote Family Farm and Home mission statement and family values.
- Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements.
- Uphold merchandising, store cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Contribute to daily store maintenance.
- Participate in recovery, execution and proper labeling of products.
- Complete register training, understand all forms of payment operations, and assist with the register as needed.
- Follow all Family Farm and Home and OSHA guidelines for a safe work environment.
- Remain conscious of shoplifting activity.
- Aid customers in locating merchandise in store and on the Family Farm and Home website, and loading merchandise into vehicles.
- Support Family Farm and Home selling initiatives such as loyalty program, private label credit cards, item of the month, and protection plans.
- Assist in fulfillment and loadout of BOPIS (Buy Online Pick Up In Store) orders.
- Assist in the completion of store closing duties.
- Contribute to a positive working environment for all team members.
- Perform all other duties assigned by store management or company officials.
Seasonal associates must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Candidates should have basic product knowledge, a willingness to learn, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a commitment to excellent service and customer satisfaction. A successful seasonal associate will be a strong team player, capable of working independently with minimal supervision, and understand basic computer systems.
The position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, reach, bend, twist, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
