We are seeking a hands‑on Systems Administrator with deep experience supporting AWS and Linux in production environments. In this role, you will patch and maintain databases, manage secure cloud configurations, and troubleshoot complex technical issues with minimal oversight. You will work with IAM, VPCs, Cloud Trail, and configuration‑management tools while supporting enterprise workflow applications and monitoring systems.

• Hands‑on experience with AWS and Linux in a production environment.
• Patching and maintaining system databases, including RDS, MySQL, and Oracle.
• Proven experience troubleshooting and solving technical problems independently as a system administrator.
• Knowledge of federated identity, RBAC, authentication, and authorization solutions.
• Understanding of secure‑cloud configuration (e.g., Cloud Trail, AWS Config), cloud‑security technologies (e.g., VPC, Security Groups), and access control (IAM).
• Experience with configuration management (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Cloud Formation).
• Experience with security technologies such as NGFW, WAF, SIEM, and endpoint security.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced agile environment.
• Ability to monitor and troubleshoot enterprise workflow applications, including starting, stopping background processes and analyzing logs.
• Ability to create and manage virtual infrastructure, such as AWS, Azure, Hyper‑V, or VMWare.
• Proficiency in a scripting language.
• Bachelor's Degree in IT related field or equivalent work experience.

• Experience with an enterprise application development language (Python, Java, or C#) for writing or modifying simple applications.

This is a full‑time position with consultants expected to be available and working onsite in Warrenton, VA during core hours.
