Position Description

The Department of Epidemiology at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health studies the frequency, distribution, and determinants of disease in humans, a fundamental science of public health. In addition to pursuing ground-breaking global research initiatives, we educate and prepare future medical leaders and practitioners as part of our mission to ignite positive changes in the quality of health across the world.

The Department of Epidemiology is seeking candidates with a PhD in Statistics/Biostatistics for a postdoctoral position. Position involves the development of methodology in the areas of clustered and survival data analyses. The application of the methods will be in epidemiological studies. The successful candidate will work with Prof. Molin Wang and her collaborators.

The postdoctoral research fellow will focus on developing biostatistical methods to deal with measurement errors in exposures or outcomes in the cohort study and electronic health record data settings. They will also focus on developing methods for the analysis of audiometric data (multi-level clustered data) aligning with the aims of NIH R01 grants.

Education Requirements
  • A doctoral degree in statistics or biostatistics
Experience Requirements
  • Strong computing and background/expertise in clustered data, survival data, causal inference or measurement error are desired.
  • Strong written communications
Additional Information

Per university guidelines, postdoc appointments are considered to be on-campus, full-time positions. Per university payroll tax guidelines all applicants must reside in an acceptable payroll states or be willing to relocate to:
Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Maine, Connecticut, Maryland, Vermont, New York, California, New Jersey, Virginia, Washington, Georgia, or Illinois.
