General Manager - Cut Floor - Shift - Waterloo PORK PLANT

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for directing and training supervisors in all facets including but not limited to production paperwork, yields, time and attendance, discipline, motivation, turnover, absenteeism, safety, problem solving, etc. Accountable for areas of performance, safety, quality, workers compensation, turnover, bid movement, Team Member morale and other duties as needed.

Oversee and train supervisors in various areas, including:

• Production documentation
• Yield management
• Time and attendance tracking
• Disciplinary procedures
• Motivation strategies
• Turnover reduction
• Absenteeism management
• Safety protocols
• Problem-solving initiatives

Be accountable for performance in key areas, such as:

• Safety
• Quality
• Workers' compensation
• Turnover rates
• Bid movement
• Team Member morale

Undertake additional duties as required.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience:
  
  2 plus years' experience in a supervisory role. Two years employment at Tyson or equivalent experience preferable.
• Familiarity with processing floor operation required.
• HACCP certification is a plus; understanding of basic HACCP principals and ability to perform CCP monitoring verification.
• Previous GF experience or supervisor floater experience required.
• Physical Requirements:
  
  Must be able to access all areas of the production floor to conduct audits and inspections. Able to tolerate environmental conditions; temperatures range from 28-45 °F.

  Skills:
  
  Good written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate with all levels of management.

  Skills:
  
  Team leader, problem solving, and motivation to take on special projects.
• Supervisory:
  Responsible for all Production Operations at the facility; includes managing all production supervisors' department, production schedules, product rotation, CCP verification, schedules, and overseeing safety committee; responsible to review team members in these roles and develop, improve deficient areas.
• Travel:
  Some travel required as needed.
