Regular Locum Practice Nurse

Overview

The Elms Surgery Watford are seeking a regular Locum Practice Nurse to cover holidays and sickness cover from July 2026 onwards. From 1-3 days a week, days to suit candidate. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care and support in a GP practice setting.

• Smears
• Travel immunisations
• Chronic disease clinics (Asthma, Diabetes)
• Ordering vaccine on Immform
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care

Join our team as a locum Practice Nurse to make a positive impact on patient well‑being and contribute to the delivery of quality healthcare services. Our EMIS practice serves 9500 patients in Central Watford, supported by a multidisciplinary team including 3 GPs, 4 Physician Associates, a Practice Nurse, an HCA, a social prescriber, care coordinators, and a fully staffed admin and reception team.

• Qualified Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
• EMIS trained
• Strong patient care skills with a compassionate and empathetic approach

• GP Practice Nurse
• Qualified Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)

• Experiences in NHS General Practice.
