Night Shift Building & Grounds Lead Cleaner

Position Summary

To perform the general housekeeping of building and grounds. Has ultimate responsibility for the maintenance of the soap storage room, coordinates and participates in the activities of the quarterly cleaning program and serves as a leader in major clean-ups including wet wash. Also performing other duties as assigned.

• Short‑term pay: $29.61 per hour
• Working hours:
  
  3rd shift (12 am‑8 am) with rotating overtime, either 4 hours before or after shift

• Perform routine cleaning/housekeeping, sanitation and changeover duties on the building, grounds and converter processing equipment as described in the Changeover SOP, Master Cleaning Schedule and SSOP’s for the defined areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Materials:
  Employee must be responsible for the proper storage and use of all chemicals and cleaning agents in the soap storage room.
• Equipment:
  Employee must be able to properly operate Genie Boom, highlifts, scrubber, walk‑behind scrubber, roamer and foamers. Employee must also know which chemicals and the proper ratios and dilutions are required for the scrubbers and foamers.
• Safety:
  Employee shall follow Waverly safety objectives & targets, follow the plant safety rules, report incidents & unsafe conditions immediately, maintain compliance with regulations, and refer to the Safety Management System on all safety‑related procedures and programs.
• Environmental:
  This position will adhere to the Nestlé USA Waverly Environmental Policy, the Pollution Prevention Plan, and the Annual Environmental Objectives & Targets. The position will support the continual improvement of energy conservation, solid waste minimization and management, and prevention of pollution within the scope of the position and throughout the plant.

• Consistent attendance and punctuality are critical to this role.
• Must be able to report to work on time, maintain regular attendance, and work scheduled hours as required to support safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment (strongly preferred).
• Basic proficiency in English language to comply with verbal and written directions, signs, policies and procedures.
• Willing and able to stand frequently.
• Willing and able to work overtime.
• Willing and able to work various shifts.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
