Adjunct Faculty – Computer Science (College of Science and Health)

• Develop syllabi, course outlines, learning objectives, and student assessment methods for up to six (6) credits per semester.
• Teach undergraduate courses in Computer and Information Technology, Applied Operating Systems, Discrete Structures, Fundamentals of Computer Networking, System Administration, Data Management, Concepts and Applications, Cloud Computing, and related subjects.
• Provide instructional support, mentorship, and guidance to students, both online and in person, as needed.
• Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching effectiveness and curriculum relevance.

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
• Professional experience in computing or related information technologies.
• Ability to teach both online and face‑to‑face.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certification or continuing education relevant to the teaching area.
• Leadership or managerial experience within a business enterprise, non‑profit organization, government agency, or professional society.
• Prior teaching experience both online and in person.

• Ability to translate professional practice into effective pedagogical strategies.
• Commitment to continuous professional development, teaching excellence, and student success.
• Patience, resourcefulness, and strong interpersonal skills for managing diverse student needs.
• Collaborative mindset with capacity to set and work toward common goals.

• New employees: $2,100 per credit.
• Employees with 13+ semesters at WP: $2,175 per credit.
