Contract – 1st Shift, 9/80

Hours:

7am – 4:30pm

Pay Rate: $17.23 per hour
Benefits: overtime, medical, dental, vision, 401(k)
Estimated OT Hours/Week: 3

Requirements
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Personnel Clearance (PCL); U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • High school education and a minimum of two years of related experience.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Basic understanding of PC applications including Oracle and iStar.
  • As necessary, ability to work with small complex parts within a clean‑room environment and use special handling tools (vacuum release stations, vacuum pick‑up tools, microscopes, etc.).
Job Description
  • Receiving:
    Coordinates the verification, inspection, and receipt of incoming material to ensure timely delivery to designated areas.
  • Visually checks all incoming material to verify quantity and for any damage to package or contents.
  • Compares accompanying paperwork against contents and original purchasing records to confirm proper items have been received and records verification.
  • Documents missing or damaged parts and completes necessary paperwork.
  • Adheres to company guidelines regarding the handling of classified and/or hazardous materials.
  • Routes packages according to inspection code.
  • May assist in the delivery of packages throughout the facility, using power or manual equipment and handtools to move heavy or awkward materials.
  • Inventory Management:
    Prepares and verifies assembly kits to meet pre‑scheduled release dates using pick lists.
  • Selects stock using first‑in‑first‑out system, checks and records solderability date, vendor date code (when required) and quantity issued.
  • Interfaces with materials and production personnel to resolve material shortages.
  • Responds to requests for materials needed for engineering or production programs, working from computerized reports.
  • Ensures that materials are properly packaged or repackaged per required special handling specifications, when necessary, in electrostatic bags or as otherwise specified.
  • Labels and stocks in specified bins or fulfills back‑order requirements for the assembly floor or kits in process.
  • Delivers completed assembly kits or point‑of‑use (POU) material to designated areas and, if required, releases to work‑in‑process (WIP).
  • Performs cycle‑count audits and physical inventories.
  • Audits inventory records for accuracy on a regular basis.
  • Checks actual stock against amounts recorded.
  • Ensures that all required materials are properly identified with safety information and handling labels in conformance with company and OSHA guidelines.
  • Shipping:
    Coordinates the packaging of standard and non‑standard products for shipment in accordance with government, customer and commercial standards; interprets packaging data sheets, contractual guidelines and verbal direction to determine packaging/packing methods.
  • Works with packaging engineer and appropriate department personnel to develop packaging guidelines for new or unusual requirements.
  • Routes shipments per the corporate freight routing guide.
  • Maintains compliance with export and ITAR requirements for international shipping.
  • Conducts routine checks of materials, equipment and classified areas in use following prescribed procedures.
  • Generates routing requests, government bills of lading, commercial bills of lading, airbills, bar‑coded labels and all transportation‑related documents as required.
  • Ensures the timely processing of company documents and maintains accurate shipping department records, files, and courier documents as required.
  • Inspects packages for internal and external labeling and matches to shipping documents.
  • Selects mode of transportation to meet required delivery dates.
  • Loads or assists carriers with loading and securing freight.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
