Multi Cloud Platform Engineer (GCP)

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Google Cloud Platform (GCP) engineer to design, build, and operate secure, scalable, and resilient Cloud Platforms. This role will be within the Multi Cloud Platform Engineering Organization and partner closely with Infrastructure Engineering, Security, Operations, Governance and Application workload teams to enable safe and efficient consumption of GCP services and capabilities across the enterprise.

Your expertise in a Multi‑Cloud environment on security, networking, Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC), and CI/CD pipeline automation will be essential in achieving our infrastructure and deployment goals.

• Design and implement GCP infrastructure solutions, IAAS, PAAS, SAAS components.
• Automate Cloud Platform infrastructure provisioning using tools Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage and monitor GCP resources using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and Application Insights along with alerting, reporting and dashboarding.
• Design, deploy, and support GCP cloud‑native components such as GCP Landing Zones, Organizations/Projects, Availability Zones, Storage, Serverless, Network Security Groups, VPC, Cloud Interconnects, Load Balancers, Containerization, Backups, Patching, etc.
• Implement and maintain security best practices, including role‑based access control (RBAC), network security groups (NSGs), and policy.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimize cloud solutions and services and integrate Multi‑Cloud services into CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub Actions.
• Optimize cloud resource usage and manage cost through Cost Management and budgeting Fin Ops tools.
• Maintain documentation of cloud architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Train and mentor junior staff on processes and releases, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide guidance and consultation as required.

• Ability to collaborate well with security, architects, platform engineers, developers and delivery team members to implement and maintain cloud‑based solutions in accordance with architecture guidelines and company security policies.
• Experience in GCP Cloud Core networking, security, and AI services.
• Hands‑on Infrastructure‑as‑Code technologies such as Terraform/Atmos and CI/CD principles and tools such as Git Hub.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a collaborative development environment.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices, identity & access management, and policy enforcement.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure and workflows: hardware, OS, networking.

• Design, implement, and deploy cloud platforms to support and meet business needs. Identify, recommend, and implement opportunities for improvement and performance issue solutions.
• Provide advanced technical support and ensure reliable operation of cloud production. Troubleshoot software systems on multiple cloud computing platforms and integrate systems into existing cloud architecture.
• Develop technical standards, test and evaluate IT vendor products, review configuration parameters to optimize system performance and maximize operation uptime.
• Elevate code into development, test, and cloud production environments on schedule. Provide follow‑up production support and submit change control requests and documentation.
• Learn and understand client area business functions and requirements, determine the appropriate technical tool to address the client’s business needs.
• Administer system activities, write the technical portion of assigned deliverables, perform systems analysis including system requirements analysis and definition, and logical design.
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
