About The Role

This position is crucial in supporting Commercial Relationship Managers in the management of assigned commercial client portfolios while seeking opportunities to enhance relationships and expand the referral network. You will provide essential support to Relationship Managers by building and nurturing strong relationships with our commercial banking clients. This includes meeting with clients, preparing loan documents, analyzing financial statements, tax returns, budgets, and other key financial data.

You will conduct ratio analyses, industry benchmarking, and comparative analysis of historical and budgeted performance. Your preparation of loan reports will inform lending decisions and involve underwriting analysis.

• Assist Relationship Managers in building robust relationships with commercial banking clients.
• Act as a point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and concerns efficiently and professionally.
• Proactively monitor the timely receipt of Financial Statements, Tax Returns, and other documentation.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers to identify cross-selling opportunities and generate leads for additional banking services.

• Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring client needs are met promptly and effectively.
• Assist clients with various banking transactions, such as account openings, loan applications, wire transfers, and cash management services.
• Conduct regular client reviews to assess financial needs and recommend suitable banking solutions.
• Maintain a positive and professional image for the bank by developing robust relationships with external partners.

• Collect and analyze financial statements, credit applications, and relevant documentation for loan underwriting.
• Research and gather data to support credit analysis, including industry trends and collateral valuations.
• Prepare credit memos and presentations for internal approval processes.

• Monitor commercial loan portfolios for compliance with covenants, financial reporting, and timely repayments.
• Assist in gathering financial information from clients to support portfolio monitoring activities.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date credit files in collaboration with the Credit Administration team.
• Limit potential losses by ensuring loans are processed in accordance with established bank policies and procedures.

• Adhere to all banking regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain compliance standards.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with client accounts and transactions.
• Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in commercial banking.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in banking, finance, accounting, or similar fields.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial statements and credit information.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective client relationship management.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
• Proficient with banking software, Microsoft Office Suite, and relevant applications.
• Knowledge of commercial agricultural lending is advantageous.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and risk management practices in the banking industry is essential.

Must be able to perform work indoors in a climate-controlled shared workspace with minimal noise.
